Our Little Golfer

Well, we found something else that Maycee is good at ;). She has been practicing at the driving range and I even got to take her golfing for the first time a few weeks ago!! It was so much fun. She is so dang cute, and can hit the ball pretty far. She entered her first golf tournament. I got to be her caddie (She completely took advantage of me!! I think she would have asked for a foot rub if she thought I would do it. It was hilarious.) Before we left the house she told me that if she was Tiger Woods that I would have the best job in the world!! lol Anyway, the lucky little dog got 3rd Place in her age group. So, needless to say she has been bragging it up to everybody that she got 3rd place in her VERY FIRST golf tournament. Great job Maycee..we are proud of you!!

Father's Day

What a great Dad we have!! I can't even begin to put into words how great Mark is. I seriously can't think of anything that he doesn't do for us. Back when we got married, I knew I caught the husband of a lifetime, but I didn't realize what a great Daddy he would be. He even ran through the sprinklers with the kids the other night. Seriously, it doesn't get cuter than that!! Here are a few things that the kids love about their Dad.
They love when he makes a "kid sandwich" out of them. They love when he wrestles with them on the bed. They love helping him with the yard, going camping, playing tag, or just cuddling on the couch watching an episode of Survivor Man or some of our other favorite shows. We LOVE OUR DAD!!
We got to go to Grandpa's house after church and of course Grandma made an amazing dinner and we got to just hang out and enjoy each others company. Grandpa was a good sport and played school with the kids. He must have been a good student judging from the stickers on his head lol :)
To top off the day the kids ran through the sprinklers on the golf course and then changed into pj's and had ice cream as we all sat on the balcony watching the sunset!! What a great day!!

Braxton's First Tooth

Braxton discovered he had a loose tooth on a Sunday and wiggled it the whole time in church. The next day he did the same thing and after we went to the Dinosaur Museum he let his Dad see if he could wiggle it out. Out it came!! He was so cute he had this surprised look on his face and then just started to giggle. He had blood running down his lip, with this huge smile, and giggling. He gave Mark a huge hug and then said, "I wanna go to bed!" It was so adorable!! He wrote a note to the tooth fairy asking her if he could keep his first tooth so he could save it forever!! He is such a sweet kid!! Way to be brave Braxton..we love you!!

Dinosaur Museum

Braxton LOVES dinosaurs. So the other night for family night we went to the Dinosaur Museum. Our kids loved it!! It was pretty cool to see dinosaur tracks and skulls, etc.. It is amazing to me how stuff like that even gets discovered. The kids thought it was pretty cool that dinosaurs used to live here!! McKynlee slept through the whole thing but for all she knew she didn't miss a thing!!

Dance..Dance...Dance

Well, we just had Maycee and Haylee's dance recital on June 13th. They have had so much fun this year dancing and singing. Maycee is in a musical theater class where they learn songs and put a few actions to them. She got to sing a solo at the performance and sounded amazing. I wish I had her confidence to be able to get up there and do that!! They sang "Honey Bun" and "Give my Regards to Broadway". We have been loving it because as she has practiced over the last few months the two little girls have learned the songs and actions too. It's pretty funny to see them perform it too. Haylee was so cute they did a dance to "I Won't Grow Up" from Peter Pan. She was adorable and loved to be in the spotlight. I have a feeling we will be spending a lot of time at dance performances for that little girl. We are so proud of them..they are both so talented!!

Lake Powell

Our Lake Powell trip was probably our best trip ever. Grandma and Grandpa were able to come with us for half of the week. Our kids love them so much. We spent the days fishing, roasting marshmallows over the campfire, swimming, and a little bit of skiing. Mark and I are getting old, we don't ski near as much as we used too!! We had the funnest time playing baseball with the kids. Maycee caught 4 fish the first night, lucky little girl. All of the kids caught a fish, and even Grandma got in on the action. I wish I could post the video of the screaming while she was reeling it in. It was awesome!!
For Braxton's birthday we went into the Marina and got ice cream. It was so fun to celebrate his birthday at the Lake. The second half of the week our friends came and spent a few days. We love Greg and Torrey and had such a great time with them. Their girls are so dang cute and get along so well with our kids. They loved hanging on the beach and playing in the sand. We built them a little pool on the beach with an island. Greg even rigged it so that it had a waterfall at the top...it was pretty cool!! We ended up burying them in it the last day. It was a trip we will never forget. We love that place...when we are far away from work and everything else and all you have is each other!!

Braxton's Birthday

Can you believe it Braxton is 6 years old!! It seems like yesterday that Andria placed him in our arms and we knew we were the luckiest parents alive. We are so grateful to her for being so amazing. We love her and her family so much!!He is such a sweet boy.
We were really excited when we found out one of our houseboat weeks was over his birthday!! The lake is his favorite place ever. Since his birthday was in the middle of the week we couldn't keep a cake cool for that long, so we improvised with a muffin and a candle. He was a good sport about it and had such a great day!! He got pancakes, bacon, and eggs for breakfast and a big ol' steak for dinner (his favorites). We had a game of baseball parents against Maycee and Braxton. They beat us 10-8. We almost won, but Grandpa started pitching for them and mom ended up striking out!! Thanks a lot Grandpa....did you really think we weren't gonna let them win? OK, maybe we wouldn't have :) He got some fly wheels and a Leapster. He was SSOOO excited. He loved the Leapster and he kept disappearing into the houseboat. He would put his pajamas on and lay on his bed to play his leapster. We love that kid so much. He is such a sweet brother with his sisters. Haylee and McKynlee say that he is their prince. I would have to agree...he is definately the prince in our family. We love you Brax!!
